The City Clerk is the keeper of all official records for the City, which includes minutes, agendas, ordinances, resolutions and deeds, just to name a few. The Clerk is also responsible for attending all City Council meetings, handling of all City payroll functions, employee benefits, personnel records, maintaining and updating city assets and the insuring of properties. The City Clerk is also appointed by the State of Illinois as the Local Registrar for birth and death certificates in McDonough County.
